Why/Not Kickstarter?

Hi Collectors! We are on target to launch UBIQ Watches DUAL SERIES 01 on Kickstarter on the 1st of February. I understand there are hesitations for projects on KS, but it is a good tool for a new microbrand like us to reach more potential supporters. I'm sharing some background about myself today for what it's worth. I will answer any questions in the comments as well.

I'm Drayson Phua from Singapore. I have been in the design industry for over 20 years and started That Design Agency in 2012. In 2023, I had the opportunity to meet local watch enthusiasts through a watch show, and that began my journey to create UBIQ. I finally found the drive to combine my love for affordable luxury watches with my design sensibilities to create something enduring and tangible in this digital age.

My stylistic inspirations come from vintage-inspired watches for their wearability and timelessness. My son's colorful world was the catalyst for vibrancy in our designs. Hailing from a tropical island, it's summer all year round. We hope to transcend seasonal phases associated with watches with our unique timepieces that blend functionality and fashion.

UBIQ has been a one-man show thus far, but we are tapping into established microbrand expertise for fulfillment, warranty, and repair knowledge to ensure a solid foundation for our affordable automatic watches.

DUAL will be up for preorder on www.ubiqwatches.com after the KS campaign ends. Remaining stocks will be on our site after delivery to pledgers. As these things go, prices typically rise later, but we will try to manage that.
